Rimu homework



Rimu
(Dacrydium cupressinum) 

Where do you find rimu trees You can be found around much of the North Island and the lowland forests of the South Island, especially on the West Coast

Why is it important to Māori: The hard and scaled outer layer of the bark was scratched off, and the remaining bark was pounded with stones and water. This could then be applied to ulcers,bruises or burns.

What uses does it have: Rimu has lots of uses like making furniture, floor boards and architraves. The maori’s used it to make weapons like spears with rimu

Why is Rimu the best tree in the school: Rimu is the best tree in the school because they are used the mosed in things
